Mizuno Half Marathon - Belo Horizonte Edition

Belo  Horizonte held, on March 23rd, the first edition of Mizuno Half Marathon, a new road running circuit with 21km races focused on the development of the athlete’s performance. Approximately 2,000 runners showed up on Pampulha Lagoon willing to challenge themselves and improve their times in long distance races.

Throughout the course of 21.097 km,the runners counted with hydrating posts, sponge distribution, a providing of gel carbs and isotonics. Apart from that, rhythm marker clocks strategically distributed along the course and a DJ helped to motivate even more the participants.

Not only that, but at the race ’s eve, at the event’s arena, the enrolled were able to relish a exclusive space with massage (Care Station), Mizuno Store, stepping test, in which the athlete can discover his kind of step. The event also counted with a social action in which the collected shoes were donated to UNIPABE, institution that offers sports activities for special conditioned people.

All the athletes that finished the race received a participation medal, and the three first placed athletes of each category (masculine and feminine) won a money award, a Mizuno pair of shoes and gifts from the partners of the event.

CC&M Comunicação e Marketing was responsible for the organization of the entire event, acting since the competition entries, technical directory until the operation of the event.
