Mizuno Half Marathon – Brasília Edition

Brasília held, on October 12th, the sixth edition of Mizuno Half Marathon – a new street  running circuit with races of 21km focused on the development of the athlete’s performance. About 1,100 athletes were present at the Eixo Rodoviário Sul – Entrequadras 102/103 willing to challenge themselves and improve their long distance race times.

Throughout the 21.097km course, the runners could count with hydrating posts, sponge distribution, isotonic and carbs gel supplies. Apart from that, pace marker clocks were strategically placed along the course and a DJ helped to motivate even more the participants.

Moreover, at the eve of the racing day, on the arena assembled at the local of the event, the participants could relish a exclusive space with massage (Care Station), Mizuno store, stepping test, in which the athlete could discover which type of step he has, and FORM – a test to evaluate the posture of the athlete while running.

The event also made a social action in which the pair of shoes collected were donated to the Escot Athtletics Nucleus, a non-profit entity, founded in 2010, that promotes the social inclusion of children of the community through the athleticism.

All the athletes that finished the race received a participation medal, and the first three placed athletes of each category (masculine and feminine) won a money award, a Mizuno pair of shoes and gifts from the partners of the event.

CC&M Comunicação e Marketing was responsible for the organization of the entire event, acting since the competition entries, technical directory until operation of the event.
