Porto Alegre held, on July 27th, 2014, the fourth edition of Mizuno Half Marathon, a new road running circuit with 21Km races, aiming the development of the athlete’s performance. Approximately 1,300  runners attended the Jockey Club of Porto Alegre willing to challenge and improve their times in long distance races.

During the course of 21.097 Km, the racers counted with hydrating posts, sponge distribution, a providing of gel carbs and isotonic. Apart from that, rhythm marker clocks strategically distributed throughout the course and a DJ helped to motivate even more the participants.

Not only that, but at the race’s eve, at the event’s arena, the enrolled were able to relish a exclusive space with massage (Care Station), Mizuno Store, stepping test, in which the athlete can discover his kind of step, and FORM, test to evaluate the athlete’s posture when racing, apart from a exclusive ‘round-table’ (lecture) with the athletes Luís Fernando and Paulo Roberto (the twins) and the athlete Carla Moreno.

The test also made a social action in which the pair of shoes collected were donated to the ‘APAE’ of Porto Alegre, institution that offers to its teenagers, among other activities, sports practice.

All the athletes that finished the race received a participation medal, and the three first placed athletes of each category p (masculine, feminine and mixed) won a money award, a Mizuno pair of shoes and gifts from the partners of the event.

CC&M Comunicação e Marketing was responsible for the organization of the entire event, acting since the competition entries, technical directory until the operation of the event.
