Mizuno 10 Miles – Porto Alegre Edition
The Mizuno 10 Miles – Porto Alegre Edition happened on November 03rd, at the Barra Shopping Sul, gathering 2,100 runners. The event counted with categories for all types of participants: 10 miles (16.093km), 5 miles (8.046km) and 2,5 miles ( 4.023km).
A highlight was the presentation of ‘Projeto El Baile’, which mixes electronic music with percussion.
The withdrawn of kits happened at the eve of the race, at the event’s arena, where the enrolled athletes could participate on Mizuno Experience – space especially assembled with masculine and feminine spa -, visit the Mizuno Store and make a Stepping Test.
Apart from that, the event made a social action consisted of donating used shoes. The collected shoes were donated to ‘APAE de Porto Alegre’, institution that offers to its teenagers, among other activities, sportive practices.
Keeping up the tradition of a sustainable action, the event distributed, with the athlete ’s kit, a seed paper, biodegradable material to be cultivated.
All the athletes that concluded the race received a participation medal. There was an awarding for the three first placed athletes of each category.
CC&M Comunicação e Marketing was the company named by Alpargatas for the organization of the entire Mizuno 10 Miles Series 2013.
